Overview

GP Sourcing ("we", "our", or "the extension") is a Chrome browser extension that provides a browser-native sourcing workflow for validating 1688 products. This Privacy Policy explains what data the extension processes, how it is used, and how we protect your privacy.

We are committed to handling your data minimally and transparently. This policy complies with the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies.

Data we process

GP Sourcing processes the following categories of data to provide its core features:

• Product page data: Product images, titles, and URLs from the active browser tab — only when you activate a sourcing feature (image search, shipping quote, or save to list).

• Image data: Product images are sent to 1688 search APIs to find similar suppliers. Images are not stored on our servers beyond the duration of the search request.

• Shipping parameters: Destination country, parcel weight, dimensions, and goods type that you enter into the Shipping Quote panel. These are used only to fetch real-time freight quotes.

• Sourcing list items: Products you save to your Sourcing List, stored locally in your browser's extension storage.

We do not collect:

Data storage

The following preferences are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's extension storage API:

These preferences are stored only on your device and are never transmitted to our servers. You can clear them at any time by removing the extension from Chrome.

Third parties

GP Sourcing uses the following third-party services to deliver its core features:

• 1688.com APIs: Product image searches are performed via 1688 search APIs. Image data is sent to 1688 in accordance with their terms of service.

• Shipping carrier APIs: Shipping quote requests are sent to carrier APIs to retrieve real-time freight rates. Destination, weight, and dimensions are transmitted for this purpose.

We do not share your data with advertising networks, analytics providers, or data brokers. We do not sell your data.

Your rights

Because all personal preferences are stored locally on your device, you can exercise control over your data at any time:

• Delete all data: Uninstall the GP Sourcing extension from Chrome. This removes all locally stored preferences and sourcing list items.

• Clear sourcing list: Use the Clear function within the Sourcing List tab to remove saved items.

Chrome Web Store compliance

GP Sourcing is published on the Chrome Web Store and complies with Google's Developer Program Policies, including the limited use requirements for user data obtained via Chrome extension APIs. Data obtained through Chrome extension permissions is used only to provide the sourcing workflow features described in this policy.

Children's privacy

GP Sourcing is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
